Donna Freitas is a professor and scholar who lectures at universities across the United States on her work about college students. Dr. Freitas has written for national newspapers and has published several books—the most recent of which is The Happiness Effect: How Social Media is Driving a Generation to Appear Perfect at Any Cost. She has conducted research and written extensively on the hook-up culture and its relationship to sexual assault, particularly for college students. Her recent research discusses the effect of social media on the millennial generation’s sense of self and ability to form relationships. Looking for more information on Dr. Freitas?
